OUR HISTORY

City Dogs is a Family owned and operated restaurant that opened in Historic Shockoe Slip in 2008 and we opened a second store uptown in the Fan District in 2009. Sadly we closed our Shockoe Slip location in early 2024, but the Fan District location still holds strong.

Our Family promises to give you and your Family the Ultimate Hot Dog Experience! Because IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FOOD!

Our menu boasts 15 different style Hot Dogs, that were created based on different cities around the country. We are constantly coming up with new Hot Dog ideas and have new a Hot Dog of the Month each month.

We also have 7 different types of Cheeseburgers (always fresh, NEVER frozen) as well as Cheesesteaks, BBQ and Chicken sandwiches. And don’t forget our fresh Hand-Cut Fries. Vegetarian and Vegan options as well.

We also have the best game day eats too! Big chicken wings with 8 different sauces and rubs! We even have them in boneless!
